Western's Food Recovery Network

Because it's time to end food waste on our campus.

How we began

On a college campus, an abundance of food is necessary. Food fuels the mind! However, with the uncertainty of food demand comes an unavoidable amount of food waste. As problem-solving college students we know we can do something better with our leftovers.

Philosophy

Fighting Food Waste. Feeding People. We are a chapter of the national organization Food Recovery Network, who unites colleges students in the fight against hunger and food waste within their community.

Our Work

We recover leftover perishable food from campus retail locations and donate this food to people in need. Our goal is to expand our efforts to eliminate all food waste on our campus.
